A genuine mobile service is not a technician with a bag of polish. It is a portable studio: a folding work table sized for professional posture, a dedicated LED curing lamp so we never depend on room lighting, a low-noise dust extractor for gel work, autoclave-sterilised instruments in sealed pouches, and a full colour range carried to every appointment.

That equipment is what makes the difference between a service that feels improvised and one that is indistinguishable from a high-end studio. It also means we can work anywhere — a hotel suite, a rooftop terrace, an apartment kitchen table or a villa poolside — with consistent results.

Setup and pack-down take about five minutes each. We cover the surface, work, collect every piece of waste and leave the space clean.

Cartagena's traffic is unpredictable. A fifteen-minute journey between the Old Town and Bocagrande can take forty-five during peak hours or a city event. Add waiting time and the return trip, and a one-hour appointment consumes an entire afternoon of a short trip.

The heat matters too. Walking out of a salon into Caribbean humidity with fresh polish is the fastest way to ruin a finish. Curing and settling in an air-conditioned room, then simply staying there, protects the result completely.

And there is comfort. Being able to have your nails done barefoot, with your own music, no shared waiting area and no small talk you did not ask for, turns routine maintenance into genuine downtime.

We serve the Walled City and Getsemaní, Bocagrande, Castillogrande and El Laguito, Manga, Crespo and Pie de la Popa, La Boquilla, the Zona Norte, Serena del Mar, Barú and private villas along the coastal road.

Travel within the urban perimeter is included in the price. For destinations further out, a clearly stated travel supplement applies and is confirmed in writing before you commit — never added afterwards.

We use internationally recognised professional brands, HEMA-free gels where possible, acid-free bonding bases and vitamin-E cuticle oils. The difference between professional and budget gel shows in week three: one is still intact, the other lifts at the edges.

Classic polish lasts five to seven days, gel two to three weeks, and BIAB up to four weeks because its structural layer absorbs impact and disguises regrowth. In a coastal climate, rinsing hands with fresh water after the sea, applying cuticle oil nightly and wearing gloves for cleaning typically adds four or five days to any finish.

Mobile service scales in a way salons cannot. For bachelorette parties, birthdays, family reunions or corporate retreats we send several technicians and run simultaneous appointments in your space. Nobody has to leave, nobody waits, and the whole group finishes together.

Guests staying several weeks often schedule a follow-up infill on the first visit. In high season this is the safest way to secure a slot on the date you want.

The most common scheduling mistake visitors make is booking nails on the last day. Gel and BIAB reach their full hardness within minutes of curing, so there is no reason to wait — having the service early means you enjoy the result for the whole trip and you have time to reach us if anything needs a quick fix.

The second consideration is the beach. Salt water and sand do not damage cured gel, but repeated exposure dries out the cuticle area and makes regrowth look faster. If your itinerary includes several beach days, book before them and keep cuticle oil in your bag.

For longer stays we recommend a first appointment on arrival and an infill two to three weeks later, both scheduled at the same time. In December, January, Easter and long weekends, slots fill several days ahead, so securing both dates from the start is the safest approach.
